Very simply, this song is based off of a 2012 article (linked below) stating that the average CEO in this country makes 380 times more than the average worker. In the previous song, Transitions, I mention needing to write more protest songs, so here's one. Maybe politics and economics are too complicated for a three-minute folk song, but many people truly believe and argue that income inequality is THE issue that needs to be solved and start us on the path to making this world a better place.
