This was actually written to be a song for one of my older bands. Rigby wrote some of the words and also sings on the full band version. This song is very simply about fighting and dealing with people on facebook and the rest of the internet. Especially if you are in a position of privilege, I feel like it is vitally important to try your best to bring people in and have healthy discussions when you find problematic and offensive ideas being shared. It seems too easy to just react with anger or sarcasm or just straight up block people. I struggle with this alot. But if we truly care about changing minds and making this world a better place, we need to figure out what's effective and take care of the people around us.
Sometimes this is not doable and it really isn't your job to educate people, but all of us deserve respect and to have our ideas challenged and questioned respectfully so that we can grow.
This does NOT apply to anyone who likes mustard. Mustard is awful and anyone who likes it can go straight to hell.
I found Days N' Daze right at the end of a long term relationship falling apart into a toxic mess. This album really helped me get through it. Call in the Coroner in particular was on repeat many days. Thanks for the tunes y'all! Tribar
